TX: painted with brush at rear upper center <Akrithakis / 2/24>
CM: Akrithakis' Chair dates from 1978, at a time he was in Germany. From 1970 onwards, while in Germany, Akrithakis began to work on wooden structures. "One can discern in the Chair a neo-Dadaist trace; the dispute of the boundaries between object and artwork or between the representation of an object and the object itself, the dual meaning of the titles which refer to both the object and the artwork." [Koroxenidis 2004, p. 23]. \
