ALEXANDROS OF ANTIOCH (Greece, Antioch f. 130-100 BC / act: Milos Island) |
Nothing is known of Alexandros, son of Menides from Antioch-on-the-Meander, the sculptor whose work was found on the island of Milos in 1820. The name "...ANDROS" has been read on the plinth of the so-called Venus de Milo, one of the most famous statues of ancient Greek sculpture.
