Laura Dodson was born on 7 January 1960 in New York, USA. She studied painting at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC and photography and art criticism at New York's Pratt Institute where she obtained her Masters of Fine Arts in 1988. She taught photography and aesthetics at AKTO Art & Design, Athens, in the period 1989-2008.Laura Dodson presented the following personal exhibitions: Framing a Man, Mylos Tower, Thessaloniki (1994); Faces in Squares, Metamorphosis Art Center, Thessaloniki (1998); Eye Candy, Galerie 3, Athens (2002); Intimate Planet, Galerie 3, Athens (2005); and Still Creatures, Gallery 7, Athens (2008).
Laura Dodson continues to live and work in New York.
