CM: Costas Evangealtos Tree Branch is charged emotionally with the charm of simplicity. The aesthetic object occupies the entire picture plain. The representation of the subject is naturalistic. The composition escapes monotony with the two separate leaves that interrupt the continuous motif of the branch. The Branch together with the Leaf was acquired by Kimon Friar in 1980, when he met Evangelatos in Athens.
