CM: Costas Evangelatos painted Intution on a palette. Nine round traces of paint from stained cans of ripolin prepare the ground for a loose composition. Seventeen excerpts of sketches adorn various parts of the palette (seven of these sketches are completely coated by two vertical bands of black paint on the left and right side of the palette). It is worth noticing that at least four of the excerpts derive from one original sketch which was drawn on a correspondence sheet as can be reckoned by the logo of Dada Art Gallery, in Athens. Although the excerpts are discrepant in terms of analogy, nonetheless they are unified under the splash of color. The free brushstrokes enhance the picture's vivacity. The romantic palette expresses a peculiar perspective of endless depth. Through the painterly mist and the flowing background emerges a large but incomplete head. The title Intuition suggests the gaze of this face, which - though looking outwards - seems to be turning towards a world within.
