Milly Flamburiari was born on 18 February and brought up in London.
Milly Flamburiari started drawing at a very early age. After boarding school she attended St. Martin's College of Art, studying general art, and later at the Chelsea College of Art she studied dress design. She went on to practice photography for one year at a private American studio in London. She presented her first personal exhibition at Galerie Zygos in Athens, where she showed works in tempera on paper, mostly of modern landscapes with figures. The critics praised her striking variety of color, the expression of humor, her imagination and her great detail. This exhibition had a tremendous success and all her exhibits made their way to private collections. She also wrote and illustrated I Will Tell You Six Tales, a children's book which was translated into Greek and became a best seller.
Milly Flamburiari is married to Count Spyro Flamburiari and travels extensively. At present she is decorating a villa complex in Corfu as well as the Cavalieri Hotel in Corfu town. In the 1990s she painted a variety of subjects, mainly flowers in oils. She exhibited Flowers at Arndean Gallery, London (2003). Recently she painted a series of paintings under the title Come to the Circus, which was exhibited at Partridge Fine Art, London (2009).
Milly Flamburiari continues to live and work in London.
