JOHN GEORGARIOU (Greece, Laconia, Lagia b. 1954 / act: Athens) |
John Georgariou was born on 22 May 1954 in Lagia of Mani, Greece. He worked for many years at the workshop of Elias Dekoulakos, while studying graphic arts at the Athens Technological Organization - ATE, Athens (1971-1972). He furthered his studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1975-1980) under Lefteris Kanakakis, Dimitris Mytaras and Dimosthenis Kokkinidis.John Georgariou took part in the following group exhibitions: Engonopoulos Art Gallery, Athens (1982); and Anyfanti Art Gallery, Karditsa (1983). § He also took part in the following group exhibitions: 6th Meeting of New Artists, Ora Cultural Center, Athens (1980); Panhellenic Art Exhibition, Piraeus Port Authority - OLP, Piraeus (1987); En Mesogea 2, Mesogea Center of Visual Arts, Peania (2006); House of Cyprus, Athens (2007); Polyplevro Art Gallery, Athens (2007); and Silent Dialogues: Multimedia Portraits Throughout Time, ACG Art Gallery, The American College of Greece, Athens (2008).
John Georgariou currently lives and works in Athens, Greece.
