LEONIDAS KARAMPINIS (Greece, Athens b. 1968 / act: Athens) |
Leonidas Karampinis was born on 15 January 1968 in Athens, Greece. He received the following education: Faculty of Arts and Department of Art Conservation at the Athens Technological Organization - ATE (1986-1990); Nikos Kessanlis Painting Workshop at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1990-1997); Department of Painting Robin Patze at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich (1993-1994); and Master Diploma at the Faculty of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens - NTUA (1999-2001).Leonidas Karampinis presented the following personal exhibitions: Portraits of Cities, Nafplion Art Gallery, Nafplio (1995); Balance, Panathinea Square, Athens (1999); Architecture and Technology: Internet Installation, Museum of Modern Art, Athens (2000); Metachoros, Gallery Bosch, Athens (2000); and Space - Body - Time, Gallery Milo, Athens (2005). He also took part in the following group exhibitions: Because Extrajudicial, 54 Zaimi, Athens (1998); ASFA Graduates, National Gallery - Alexandros Soutzos Museum, Athens (1998); Route 49, City of Athens (1999); Artists of Ellinogermaniki Agogi, Bosch Gallery, Athens (2000); ArgoPoreies, Kapodistrias Barracks, Argos (2000); Snapshot, Contemporary Museum of Baltimore USA (2001); Book Festival, Frankfurt (2001); Collaboratoing Artists, Gallery Milo, Athens (2005); Viannos Art Museum, Crete (2006); 1st International Open-Air Workshop, Island of Dreams, Euboea (2008); and Art + Nature: Environment - Action, Villa Kazouli, Athens (2008).
Leonidas Karampinis continues to live and work in Athens.
