CM: Nikos Kaskouras' Hommelette is incised on the one side of a stone plinth that was builders' scrap. In making Hommelette Kaskouras had in mind prehistoric Cycladic figural reliefs from Naxos Island. Being contemporary, this Hommelette appears to be dressed in costume. Standing upright and looking frontally outwards, it 'weighs' passers-by with its eyes.
