ALEXANDROS MAGANIOTIS (Greece, Athens b. 1972 / act: Athens) |
Alexandros Maganiotis was born on 9 March 1972 in Athens, Greece. He studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens - NTUA (1989-1996), and received a Master in Architectural Design at The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, University College London - UCL, London (1996-1997). In 2008 he took part in the Open Art Residency at Eretria, Euboea Island, Greece.Alexandros Maganiotis presented the following personal exhibitions: Imaginary Loss, Mommy Art, Athens (2006); Non-Places, Munincipal Gallery, Mykonos Island (2007); Art Deco, Maria K Gallery, Leros Island (2008); and Labyrinth Games, Polis Café, Athens (2008). § He also took part in the following group exhibitions: Cheapart#11-14, a.antonopoulou.art & Cheapart Gallery, Athens (2005 -2009); 4th European Social Forum, Olympic Basketball & Fencing Facilities, Old Airport, Athens (2006); Open Art: One Minute…, Alba, Agia Paraskevi (2006); Of cooked Crudeness, Municipal Market of Kypseli, Athens (2006); Open Art:: To Bond or not to Bond, Alba, Agia Paraskevi (2006); ARTmART, Haus, Vienna, Austria (2007, 2008); Affordable Art Fair, Artphilo Gallery, Battersea Park, London (2007); Which Way to Utopia?, Municipal Market of Kypseli, Athens (2008); Surprise, Technopolis, Athens (2009); In Small Scale, Evdomi Opsi Gallery, Chania, Crete (2009); Spring, Zina Athansiadou Gallery, Thessaloniki (2009); and The Mediterranean Olive Grove, Olivepress Art Factory, Dromonero, Crete, Greece (2009).
Alexandros Maganiotis continues to live and work in Athens.
