GEORGE MANIATIS (Greece, Athens 1946-1998 / act: Athens) |
George D. Maniatis was born in Athens on 20 October 1946. He studied photography in New York.After his return to Greece, Maniatis was the first Greek photographer to have his work published in Vogue France in 1972. Maniatis focused on fashion and advertising photography for many years. Moving on, he was became increasingly attracted by the advertising industry, working with many production companies as Photography Director. During this time he was also a Creative Director for JWT Spot Thompson handling large clients (i.e. Chipita) in their advertising campaigns.
George Maniatis died on 21 October 1998.
