ELENI MICHAILOU (Greece, Athens b. 1957 / act: Athens) |
Eleni Michailou was born in 1957 in Athens, Greece. She took painting courses at Vrassidas Vlachopoulos Painting studio (1975-1976). She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1976-1981) painting with Yiorgos Mavroidis (1977-1981) and set design with Vassilis Vassiliadis (1979-1980). With a British Council fellowship she pursued postgraduate research in the Visual Arts Department at Goldsmiths College - University of London (1987) under the supervision of Nicholas de Ville. She studied printmaking with Fotis Mastichiadis (1992-1994).Eleni Michailou presented the following personal exhibitions: Child's Suitcase, 7 Gallery, Athens (1991), Person in Pieces, 7 Gallery, Athens (1994); June-July 1994 / Illusion, 24 Gallery, Athens (1998); Shade / Light, (2004); and E Garden / Flor, 7 Gallery, Athens (2007).
