Gerasimos Neofytos was born in 1968 Cefalonia Island, Greece. He studied economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1985-1989) and parallel to that engaged with music and lyrics. In 1985 he developed a professional relationship with advertising initially as author and subsequently as creative director, a position in which he excelled earning more than one-hundred Greek and international awards. In terms of photography he is self-taught and began with black-and-white film in 1996. His reputation as photographer spread owing to his work documenting the shooting of the film Brides (2004) by Pantelis Voulgaris.
