Theo Pfeil was born in 1903 in Düren, a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He was a painter and engraver. He also worked as a cartoonist for the Cologne and Frankfurt newspapers. His best known lithographs are Greek Landscape and Acropolis published by the Griffelkunst-Vereinigung, Hamburg.[Megakles Rogakos 08/2008]
