Very little information remains about G. Prévot, who was born in Bapaume of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France in 1820. He signed photographs of parks and many officers' portraits in cartes de visite form, with the address: "5, boulevard Montmartre near the théâtre des Variétés, Paris".
