Rania Rangou was born in 1970 in Athens. She graduated from Pierce College, and went on to study at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA with Panayotis Tetsis and Dimosthenis Kokkinidis (1989-1994). She furthered her studies in Madrid with a scholarship from the Erasmus Exchange Program. She went on to New York to study video art at the New School, and music and sound techniques at the School of Visual Arts.
