Polykleitos N. Regos was born in 1903 in Naxos Island and died in 1984 in Thessaloniki, where he was active. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA and furthered his studies at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and Académie Colarossi in Paris. He also studied engraving with the famous engraver Dimitris Galanis (1879-1966) in Paris. He came into contact with various contemporary art centers around the world, which explains the breadth and variety of his artistic style.
