CM: This is one of a series of 10 bronzes of statuettes of Saint Francis of Assizi that Frances Rich cast in 1953. The Merrill Collection offered one of those studies to Saint John's Church, Washington, DC, in 1954. In 1955 two more of these studies entered the collections of the Holy Names Academy, Seattle, WA, and the College of Sister Formation, Issaquah, WA.
