APOSTOLOS TATOLAS (Greece, Katerini b. 1978 / act: Athens)

Apostolos Tatolas Apostolos Tatolas was born on 18 March 1978 in Katerini, Greece. He studied Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as Interior Architectural Design at Vakalo School of Art & Design. In parallel he studied classical singing and was interested in the use of the human voice in experimental and contemporary music. He published the book entitled "Animals in Homeric Ages" (Erodios Editions, 2005) and participated in the writing of the collective publication in English entitled "Science and Technology in Homeric Epics" (Springer Editions, 2008). On its way is his second book entitled "Neurophysiology and Visual Arts: Hieronymus Bosch and Frida Kahlo". He also published the following essays: "Eros and Death in the German Opera of the Romantic and Post-Romantic Age: Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss" and "Nietzsche and Education". His philosophy involves an holistic approach of aesthetics based on the unity of all art forms.

Apostolos Tatolas presented the following personal exhibitions: Mati Gallery, Katerini (2007, 2010); Multispace Metaichmio, Athens (2008); Partisan Gallery, Thessaloniki (2009); and Aggelon Vima Gallery, Athens (2010). He also participated in the following group exhibitions: Tecnopolis, Athens (2006); Astrolavos Gallery, Athens (2009); Technopolis, Athens (2009); Vakalo Gallery, Athens (2009); Aggelon Vima Gallery, Athens (2010) and Institute of Education - University of London, London (2010). He has been commissioned by the University of Cyprus to design the artwork of the 12 th International Conference of the Utopian Studies Society and will participate in a relevant group exhibition. He collaborated with Seirios music company Athens (2008) and Migrant Sound, London (2010).

Since 2005 Apostolos Tatolas lives in Athens and works professionally as a spatial designer.
