SOFIA TOUNTA (Greece, Athens b. 1962 / act: Athens) |
Sofia Tounta was born on 3 July 1962 in Athens, Greece. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA (1982-1987) painting with Nikos Kessanlis, sculpture with Theodoros Papayannis, and mosaic with Yannis Valavanidis. She furthered her studies in sculpture with David Evison at Hochschule Der Künste - HDK, Berlin (1997).Sofia Tounta has presented the following personal exhibitions: Galerie 7, Athens (1988); Seeds, Galerie 3, Athens (1995); Seeds, Galerie III, Thessaloniki (1996); Plants and Parasites, Galerie 3, Athens (1998); Lollypops, Galerie 3, Athens (2003).
Sofia Tounta continues to live and work in Athens.
