CM: The Untitled: Landscape of Pantelis Tsatsis derives from an on-going series of pictures from nature. Tsatsis creates watercolors during the period of his summer vacation. In his landscape series he is concerned with the idea of the horizon serving as verge between the earth amd the sky. The picture presents a pure landscape painted from life, but altered on the basis of the artist's idiosyncratic values and aesthetics. As a matter of fact, Tsatsis distinguished his landscapes in two groups - the summer landscapes with the warm colors and the winter landscapes with the cold colors. In any case, the resulting work is but a play of light and color on the instant of creation.
