Vassilios Dimitrakakis was born on 10 September 1958 at Rodia of Kyparissia, Greece. His family moved to Australia when he was at the age of two. He studied Graphic Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology - RMIT University (1977-1980), and furthered his studies in drawing at the Bristol Polytechnic of the Royal West of England Academy, England (1986). In 1984 he began travelling in Europe visiting the following countries: France; Germany; Romania; Sweden; and Spain. Since 2003 he has been permmanently living in Athens, Greece.[Megakles 09/2006]
