EVA VASSILIOU (Greece, Athens b. 1946 / act: Athens)
Eva Vassiliou was born on 17 June in Athens in 1946. She studied photography at the age of thirty-five at Monterey Penninsula College, California, USA (1980-1982).
Though residing in Greece, the largest body of Vassiliou's work concerns subjects in the United States (1980-1982) and England (1992-1996). Her photography is exclusively black and white, and her subject matter is anthropocentric with an emphasis on children.
Eva Vassiliou she presented personal exhibition: Unsuspectedly: Children, Astrolavos Gallery, Athens (2003). She has also taken part in the following group exhibitions: Kites, Astrolavos Gallery in Athens (2004); and Animals, Astrolavos Gallery in Athens (2005).
Eva Vassiliou continues to live and work in Athens.
