ALEXANDER VOUTSAS (USA, New York, Manhattan b. 1961 / act: Athens) |
Alexander Voutsas Jr. was born on 10 May 1961 in Manhattan, New York. He studied in Greece at Athens College and graduated from the American Community School - ACS and took lessons at Deree of The American College of Greece. He received his Bachelors of Science in Marketing / Management from Siena College, Loudonville, New York in 1983, Bachellor of Arts in Photography from Rochester Institute of Tecnology - RIT in 1987 and Masters in Printing Science and Management from the same Institute in 1991.Alexander Voutsas presented the following personal exhibitions: Rodopou, Art Gallery of Rochester Institute of Tecnology - RIT, New York (1986); Bouzianis Municipal Art Gallery, Athens (1993); Rodopou, Kolimbari Cultural Center, Chania, Crete (1997); and Anamoni (Awaiting), Athens College, Athens (2003). He also took part in the following group exhibitions: PhotoCircle, Freedom Park Municipal Gallery, Athens (1992); PhotoCircle, Mylos, Thessaloniki (1995); Photosynkyria, Thessaloniki (1996); and I Feel..., Kontoglou Gallery, Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens, Athens (2010).
Alexander Voutsas lives and works in Athens. He currently works at the Photography Workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts - ASFA.
