K-ART GALLERY (Greece, Athens f. 2007 /
www.k-art.gr)
K-art Gallery was established in 2007 by Maria Christofi, the daughter of Christos Christofis, who has been collecting contemporary Greek art since the 1970s. K-art is located in the Kolonaki district of Athens, Greece, and its aim is to exhibit and promote mainly the work of young artists - painting; sculpture; installation; photography; and - to a lesser extent - video art. Up to the present K-art has organized the following group exhibitions:
Crosses and Crescents (2007);
Transmutation (2008);
The Black Heels (2008); and
Saint Sebastian (2008); and the following personal exhibitions: Elias Kafouros (2008); Afroditi Sezenia (2008); Yiorgos Tserionis (2008); and Charis Xenos (2008).
With faith in the care of artworks demonstrated by The American College of Greece, K-art kindly conceded to the ACG Art collection works that throw light on interesting moments of contemporary Greek art. This concession includes works by the following artists:
Yiorgos Tserionis (6); and
Apostolis Zolotakis.
