Carl Böhringer was German but his place and year of birth and death are not to-date discovered. Böhringer was the director of Carl Merlin's photographic studio in Athens. He made a reputation as a major portraitist of the high society in Athens. His studio was at the junction of Hermou and Nikis Street.[Megakles 08/2006]
